Eye care professionals specialize in understanding how the human eye really works, as well as diseases and conditions that affect your vision – many of which do not have obvious symptoms. Eye doctors know how age and risk factors affect vision over time for young and old, and they understand the benefits and features of corrective lenses including eyeglasses and contacts.
Dr. Jancaro takes the time to explain the results of your eye exam, describe your options and listen to your eye care needs. Because maintaining good eye health is an ongoing partnership, we encourage you to ask questions and share your health information, which could be vital to monitoring, diagnosing and treating potential vision problems.
Meet our doctor:

David Jancaro, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University, graduating in 2014. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Saint Vincent College in 2010.
Dr. Jancaro specializes in ocular disease and specialty contact lens fitting and is committed to providing exceptional eye care to each of his patients. He is trained in the management of pediatric vision care and routine eye care. Dr. Jancaro was inspired to become an optometrist because he himself has worn contacts since he was 10 years old and always looked up to other optometrists.
When he is not treating patients, Dr. Jancaro and his wife Kelsey (also an optometrist!) reside in Natrona Heights and are members of St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Vandergrift, Pennsylvania. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, golfing, and rooting on the Pittsburgh Penguins hockey team, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and the Pittsburgh Steelers
